BARCELONA-DAY 5

Part of our “Latergram ” series. This trip took place December 2024.

Talk about a beautiful way to wake up each morning. It makes me sad to think we didn’t get to spend enough time here along the Orihuela coast. That’s ok, we’ll be back soon. Til then, I’ll let these images be your guide and inspiration.

We started off with a light breakfast here at the Las Colinas country Club restaturant. Everything inside was decorated for the holiday’s as it was December.

Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is an award-winning, low-density luxury resort set in a 330-hectare protected valley in southern Alicante, Spain. It features an acclaimed championship golf course, high-end modern villas, eco-friendly surroundings, exclusive dining, and a private beach club near the Mediterranean coast.

After. full morning touring Las Colinas, it was time for a traditional style Spanish lunch with fresh seafood, wine, beers and more. Heidi and Thommy took us to a waterfront restaurant called Restaurante Los Angeles in Campo Amor.

Talks about the perfect view for an afternoon lunch. If you find yourself in the area, indulge yourself with all the fresh sea side food you can handle. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

After lunch, we drove around some more neighborhoods and developments. In hindsight, I wish I had taken more pictures. I did manage to get these last two images as we chased day light before they dropped us back at our AirBnb.

Wow! that was a whirlwind trip. There is nothing like travel to expand one’s horizon’s on people and other nation’s cultures. We are truly grateful for those we have met along this journey, both old and new.
